Selin ATAY-TDO- Israel announced the signing of an agreement to establish full diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Bhutan.
"Israel and the Kingdom of Bhutan have signed an agreement to establish full diplomatic relations between them," the Israeli Foreign Ministry said on Twitter. An official statement by the ministry stressed that the agreement signed between Israel and the Kingdom of Bhutan represents an important development in the Israeli-Asian Relations process.
Israeli media reported that the diplomatic agreement signed by Israel and the Kingdom of Bhutan was signed in New Delhi, The Capital of India.
“The fruit of peace, I welcome the agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and Bhutan," Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on the agreement. The Israeli Prime Minister noted that they also maintain contacts with other countries that want to establish diplomatic relations with Israel.
