Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, a spokesman for the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, announced in a statement that the Preparatory Commission, which is responsible for coordinating the Pope's historic visit, has completed all its preparations.
Al-Sahhaf said the Vatican delegation arrived in Iraq a few days ago to study the preparation of the visit, and said the visit would be held between March 5 and 8. Al-Sahhaf said that air and ground security measures were taken to ensure security during the pope's visit, adding that the Pope's visit will contribute to the development of social peace in the country.
