The Iraqi Media and Communications Authority announced that Reuters had suspended its license to work in Iraq for 3 months due to reports of thousands of people in the country allegedly contracting the coronavirus.
However, a risk that was being suggested for Social Security Administration states that Reuters news should apologize to the Iraqi people, Iraqi media and Communications Agency, the Reuters news agency at 25 million dinars (about 21 thousand dollars) was fined announced.
Reuters had served its subscribers with a report claiming that thousands of people had been caught in Covid-19 in Iraq, which was hidden from the public by the country's authorities. The Iraqi Health Ministry denied the claim.
