Selin ATAY-TDO- In a speech after a Cabinet meeting in Tehran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani criticized the US administration's re-enacted sanctions against Iran.

Hassan Rouhani argued that the US administration has failed 3 times against Iran in the last month " at the United Nations Security Council (BGMK), which it considers the center of its own power."

"I declare as president of Iran: if the United States treats bullying and applies United Nations Security Council resolutions in practice, it will certainly get a definitive answer from us," Hassan Rouhani said by threatening the United States.

"The United States claims that the decisions are coming back, but it does not accept it," the Iranian President said in his speech, stressing that the Washington administration is alone in international public opinion.

Rouhani said that the US administration has been trying to "form an international coalition against Iran for 2.5 years", but has been defeated in every process it has initiated, and that in this process, it has not received support from the international community for its cause, even its traditional allies have left the US alone.

Rouhani claimed that the maximum US pressure on Iran had turned into the "maximum isolation" of the US in the political and legal sphere. He said it was "a day that will not be forgotten in the name of the history of the diplomacy" for his country.

Rouhani called U.S. efforts to block the sale of weapons to Iran a "failure", stressing that those who seek to bully Iran will fail.  Iran's President thanked Russia, China, EU countries and 13 UNSC members who supported Iran on arms sales.

In his speech, Rouhani also mentioned about the P4+1 countries (China, France, Russia, Britain and Germany) that have signed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), known as the nuclear agreement. The Iranian President repeated his claim that Iran would stick to its own commitments while sticking to the commitments of the countries that are parties to the agreement.
