Selin ATAY -TDO- the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Shamhani said that the U.S. revenge against Qasem Soleimani, who was killed by a US airstrike at Baghdad International Airport, would be far heavier.
Reminding that US President Donald Trump had admitted that the order to kill Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was personally given to the U.S. military by him, Ali Shamhani threatened the US in a social media account.
“Those who killed them will not be able to sit comfortably in their seats. The people of Iran and Iraq will avenge Soleimani and al-Muhandis. Much heavier revenge is on the way, " Shemhani said.
Iran's spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi yesterday, stressing that Qasem Soleimani will take his revenge from the United States. “They killed your guest in your house. This is not a small incident, we will certainly respond," he said.
Qasem Soleimani, Iranian Quds Force commander, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Iran-backed Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), were killed by a US airstrike ordered by President Donald Trump at Baghdad International Airport on 3 January.
