IRAN ORDERS MANDATORY QUARANTINE FOR PASSENGERS ARRIVING FROM EUROPE

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- After a Coronavirus test for passengers entering Iran from Europe, the Iranian National Anti-Coronavirus Board announced that it had decided to impose a mandatory two-week quarantine, even if the results came back negative.

Speaking to Iranian state television, Ali Reza Reisi, a spokesman for the National Anti-Coronavirus Board of Iran, said there had been a large increase in coronavirus cases in Europe and the United States, and announced new measures.

He pointed out that the mutated type of coronavirus emerging in the UK has increased the severity of the outbreak in Europe, noting that the entrances and exits at the borders are carefully monitored so that this does not affect Iran.
