Selin ATAY-TDO- An Iran-linked hacking group on Sunday claimed to have breached the Israeli Aerospace Industries’ computer systems, the attack shows the tense relation between Israil and Iran is reflected to cyberspace.
According to Israeli news, the hacker group, known as a Pay2Key revealed its alleged hack in in a post they shared on Twitter. “Knock Knock! Tonight is longer than longest night for @ILAerospaceIAI,” the group wrote from the account called “Winter is coming (Pay2Key)”. After the alleged hacking, the same account shared an image featuring IAI's logo.
The hackers also claimed to have disclosed the password of a system administrator at Koby Fiada, which is affiliated with Elta, a subsidiary of IAI.
In October September, Iranian hackers contracted with Iran's Revolutionary Guard Army targeted leading Israeli companies with a series of ransomware, some Israel-based cybersecurity firms said.
