HAITI PROSECUTOR SEEKS CHARGES AGAINST PM HENRY FOR PRESIDENT MOISE'S MURDER

Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Bedford Claude, the chief prosecutor of Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince, has asked the judge to Prime Minister Ariel Henry for the assassination of President Jovenel Moise.

He ordered authorities to prevent Prime Minister Henry from leaving the country, where he wants to be accused of killing the president.

"There are enough conciliatory elements to prosecute Henry and demand his direct indictment," Claude said in his indictment.

Claude said the interviews took place between 4:03 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. local time on July 7, and evidence showed that the suspect, Joseph Badio, was near Moise's home at the time.
