Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Greece, who wanted war compensation from Germany because of Nazi occupation in the Second World War, gave a verbal note to Berlin. The Greek government is demanding about 300 billion Euro's from Germany for the death of its citizens and financial damage. He also wants the return of historical artifacts taken from Greece to Germany during the war.
Greece wants Germany to put the issue on the agenda as soon as possible and start negotiations.
The oral note given by Greece emphasizes the need for the repayment of the interest-free invasion loan and the extradition of the archaeological treasures carried out by illegal means. Greece's Parliament approved a motion to demand war compensation from Germany at the end of April.
Germany, on the other hand, claims that payments were made to all countries that had to be paid for war compensation in the 1950s.
