Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Germany's Transport Ministry has retaliated against Moscow's leadership, saying it does not allow Russian airlines to use its airspace.
Two Lufthansa flights from Germany to Russia on June 2 were canceled because Russian authorities did not give the necessary permits in a timely manner, the ministry said in a statement.
The Statement said that due to the reciprocity, the Federal Aviation Authority is not allowed to fly by Russian airlines, as the Russian side keeps its flight authorizations on hold.
The statement said 3 Aeroflot flights were affected on June 1 and 4 Aeroflot flights on June 2.
"If Russia allows Lufthansa flights, Russian airlines will be allowed to fly," the ministry said, noting that the issue is based in Moscow.
