Hassam Hameed-TDO-24.12.2017- UN security council has imposed new sanctions on North Korea for continuation of its nuclear and missile programmes. Slashing fuel export to North Korea is one of the key element of new sanctions. US President Donald Trump has praised security council for imposing new sanctions.
These sanctions will reduce oil imports of North Korea by 90%. Also North Korean workers working abroad would be sent back within 24 months, which is one of the vital source of income for Pyongyang. Also there would be a ban on exports of machinery and electrical equipment. All members of security council voted in favor sanctions, including North Korea key trading partners, China and Russia.
"The United Nations Security Council just voted 15-0 in favor of additional Sanctions on North Korea. The World wants Peace, not Death!" Mr Trump tweeted.
