Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Tests at France's Marseille University Hospital revealed that the drug chloroquine, which is used to prevent and treat malaria, was effective in treating coronavirus.
Professor Didier Rault, who conducted the tests, explained that the first experiments were successful. Rault reported that 24 Covid-19 patients had accepted the experimental treatment, with 75 percent of them getting rid of the virus within 6 days. Of the patients not given chloroquine, 90 percent are still fighting the virus.
Health authorities have also approved clinical trials at the hospital. Malaria drugs are also extremely cheap.
The same results had come from Australia and India in experimental treatments that have been used in antiviral drugs, mainly malaria, in the past few days.
