Serhat TUNAR -TDO- France has been rocked by a knife attack targeting a church in Nice as it continues to mourn teacher Samuel Paty, who was decapitated.
Former French president Francois Hollande, who evaluated these developments on a television show in which he participated, said that the goal of Islamist terrorists is to create interfaith war, and said that terrorists should not confuse them with Muslims. Hollande warned that such a mistake would draw them into a war they did not want.
Attacks targeting France should be responded to in a state of national unity, just as in the Coronavirus outbreak, Hollande added.
During the administration of François Hollande, who held the presidency between 2012 and 2017, there were attacks at the Bataclan and Charlie Hebdo in 2015.
