Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told France Info radio that France and the European Union, like other transport companies, are close to a bailout deal for Air France, which has been affected by the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
"We are approaching an agreement... A few more days," Le Maire said, adding that sometimes there can be concessions to ensure fair competition.
"These concessions are not about shutting down or laying off flight lines. There are some concessions that are desired to ensure fair competition between Air France and other companies, we are working on them," Le Maire said.
On March 26, French newspaper Le Monde published a report confirming that Paris and Brussels were close to agreeing on the terms of a bailout for Air France.
