Adel Tayari -TDO- (TUNISIA) James Jeffrey, a senior US diplomat and deputy national security adviser under President Barack Obama Prior to that he was ambassador to the United States of America in Turkey, Albania and other countries, making him an expert on strategic issues in the Middle East and the Balkans About the possibility of a major military intervention by Turkey, Iran and Russia in the Gulf, if Saudi Arabia tried to intervene militarily in Qatar.

The former US ambassador to Syria and Iraq said in a statement on” Al-Hurra” channel:” "If the Saudis had moved one tank to the border with Qatar within days, there will be Iranian and Turkish planes and possibly Russian on Qatari territory."

The statements of the former US official came in the context of the Gulf crisis, which began on June 5, when Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain, as well as Egypt, cut off relations with Qatar,  which made those States to impose a land and air blockade on Doha, accusing it of "supporting terrorism" which was denied by Doha, which stressed that it faces a campaign of "fabrications" and "lies"  aimed at imposing "guardianship" on its national decision and  has rejected the list of demands presented by the countries of the blockade  Which has made many experts talk about the possibility of developing the diplomatic crisis into an armed confrontation although this possibility remains weak at least in this period.
