Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- At the European Union (EU) Summit of State Leaders, the EU-Russia summit, proposed by Germany and France, was rejected.
The leaders of Poland and the Baltic states, which do not support the proposal, say such a summit would send the wrong message to the world.
However, at the summit, the leaders failed to reach the necessary consensus to take a step on the issue, and the summit proposal was rejected.
Germany and France say relations with Russia can be improved in the climate crisis, energy and some other areas.
But all countries with direct border ties to Russia opposed the idea.
