Serhat TUNAR -TDO- The foreign ministers of European Union member states will meet on July 13th to discuss weighing sanctions on Turkey at the request of France.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said: "at our request, there will be a meeting between the EU's foreign ministers on July 13th where only the issue of Turkey will be discussed. It is known that the European Union imposed some sanctions on Turkey for its drilling in the Cyprus territorial waters area. Other sanctions could be considered."
Tensions between Turkey and France over Libya are also growing. French President Emmanuel Macron had claimed that Turkey had historical and criminal responsibility for the Civil War in Libya.
