Serhat TUNAR -TDO- The European Union is changing its policy of enlargement in the Balkans, which France blocked at the end of last year.
Charles Michel, president of the Council of the European Union, has announced that the European Union will hold intense discussions in the coming days on how its future expansion plan should be managed.
Meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama in the Albanian capital, Tirana, Michel said all member states agree that the future of the Western Balkans should be towards Europe.
The European Union is working on a new method of Accession and enlargement. Membership of the European Union is seen as an important tool for Democratic, political and economic transformation in the Balkans.
