Serhat TUNAR -TDO- The European Union and the UK have resumed talks in a bid to determine the path and the relations they will establish after Brexit.
After a six-week break, Michel Barnier and his counterpart David Frost held a meeting via video conference via the internet.
A spokesman for the British Prime Minister's office said constructive talks were expected to take place and it was hoped progress would be made by next June.
Michel Barnier of the European Union also shared with his followers on his social media account that progress had to be made in many areas.
Britain, which left the European Union on January 31, does not want to extend the transition process. Talks are expected to resume between the sides later this week, and a press conference on the issue is expected on Friday.
