Serhat TUNAR -TDO- President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, visiting Turkey, met NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the presidential Dolmabahçe office in Istanbul. The interview, which was closed to the press, lasted about an hour.

Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar and Osman Aşkın Bak, head of the Turkish delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA), also attended the talks.

Stoltenberg met with Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar before being accepted by Erdogan. The NATO Secretary General announced his meeting with Turkish officials on his personal social media account.

"There is no consensus among our allies on the YPG," said Stoltenberg, who stated that Turkey is on the borders of a difficult region and that no member of the NATO alliance has been subjected to violence and instability from the Middle East as much as Turkey.

Jens Stoltenberg also said he shared his own concerns about the operation, reminding them that tensions should not be increased, that more instability should not be caused, and that people should not suffer more.
