Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Guinea's Health Ministry says an Ebola outbreak has begun in Goueke province in the country's southwest. 4 deaths have been recorded in the country due to the Ebola outbreak for the first time since 2016.

“Given this situation and in accordance with international health regulations, the Government of Guinea announces an outbreak caused by the Ebola virus in the provinces of Goueke and Nzerekore, " the Guinean Prime Minister's office said in a statement on the issue.”

It is recommended to quarantine anyone suspected of Ebola and enable the coordination and technical work of the relevant commission, while Goueke said that a center will be opened to take care of patients and the purchase of vaccines through the World Health Organization will be accelerated.
