Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- A magnitude 6.3 earthquake hit Papua New Guinea immediately after a magnitude 6 earthquake hit Davao province in the southern Philippines.
The quake, whose epicenter was the city of Magsaysay, occurred at 12.22 p.m. local time at a depth of 15 kilometers, The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
Tremors were also felt in the province's cities of Bansalan, Kidapawan, and Digos following the quake.
After the earthquake, an aftershock warning was issued and there was no danger of a tsunami.
