Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Dutch interim government Foreign Minister Sigrid Kaag has resigned, saying evacuations in Afghanistan have failed.
Both ministers were condemned for being late and unsuccessful in evacuating civilians from Afghanistan during a session of the Dutch parliament that discussed a motion to question Sigrid Kaag and Defence Minister Ank Bijleveld.
During the condemnation vote against Kaag, 78 MPs voted "yes" and 72 voted "no".
"Parliament has ruled that the cabinet is not acting properly. I have to accept the results. If the policy is rejected, the Minister should resign," he said.
