The two-seat drone, developed by the China-based company EHang, flew over the Han River with a payload simulating the weight of passengers. Six drones were flown for different uses such as package delivery, traffic analysis and survey.

The South Korean government aims to introduce a traffic management system to support drone taxis sometime in 2025.

South Korean engineers are working on a next-generation transport service that eliminates urban traffic congestion, using electrically powered aircraft capable of vertical takeoff and landing.
