Mustafa AY- TDO -On Wednesday, Fabrice Leggeri, the Executive Director of EU's border monitor agency -Frontex-, stated that they've gone through a regular decrease in the number of illegal passing into EU borders since 2017. Director Leggeri specified the fact that regular fall in the number of illegal passing into EU draws parallel with well-coordinated border monitors, ongoing collaboration between EU member-states and intensified precautions taken for the purpose of preventing illegal passing by immigrants.
The number of illegal passing into EU was 204,750 in 2017. This number fell to 150,114 in 2018, stated Frontex director. Lastly, Leggeri told the reporters that Frontex has conducted its formidable border missions not only on the ground and sea, but also on air insomuch effective that the agency managed to drop the incident of illegal entry from 14,200 in 2017 to 13,700 in 2018.
