Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- The death toll from floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall in western Germany has risen to 133.
Flooding has also affected Germany and Belgium, as well as Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Search and rescue efforts are underway for dozens of people still missing.
According to the latest information, there are 90 fatalities in the Rhineland-Palatinate region most affected by the disaster and 43 in North Rhine-Westphalia.
At least 20 people have died in Belgium.
"I'm afraid nothing worse has happened yet," German Chancellor Angela Merkel said of the flooding.
