Serhat TUNAR -TDO- It was decided that the partial ban imposed on coronavirus in Switzerland and the additional measures taken should last one week longer than the specified date and be continued until April 26.
The government's statement said that if, for economic reasons, some conditions are met after that date, the measures could be taken into consideration step by step.
Experts insist that measures such as border controls, a gathering of up to five people and the closure of schools must be lifted, with noticeable reductions in the number of new cases, hospitalizations and deaths.
The Swiss government, on the other hand, is unsettled by the contraction in the economy and states that the Swiss economy is facing a contraction it has never experienced in its history. Due to the coronavirus, the Swiss economy is projected to shrink 10.4 percent this year.
