Serhat TUNAR -TDO- In the Netherlands, due to the increase in the number of new daily cases in the Coronavirus outbreak, it was announced that the stricter second quarantine rules, which will last 5 weeks from today and will end on January 19, 2021, have been switched.

In his address to the nation, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced that schools, all Sunday and stores were closed until January 19.

Rutte said the partial quarantine, which went into effect on October 14, was not enough to reduce the number of cases, with new daily cases increasing recently and coronavirus-induced death numbers also rising.

For this reason, the Dutch Prime Minister stressed that urgent action should be taken, the quarantine measures taken from tonight will be implemented and the number of cases exceeding 8 thousand per day is aimed to be quickly reduced, he said.
