20/01/2021

Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- In Chengdu, Sichuan Province in China, an advanced version of high-speed Maglev trains, which are still under trial and can reach speeds of up to 620 Kmph, has been introduced.

The Maglev train will be in service in 3-5 years and is about 200 Kmph faster than the previous version.

Introducing the train's 21-meter-long locomotive, which can go at high temperatures and on magnetic tracks, Chinese authorities built a 165-meter-long rail system for the launch.

He Chuan, a professor at Jiatong University, said that the area where the train is located is rich in under-ground mines and therefore there will be no shortage of raw materials in the construction of the magnetic rail systems.
