Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Canada has added a new sanction to the sanctions imposed by Russia over its annexation of Crimea.
Canadian Foreign Minister Marc Garneau announced in a statement that two individuals and four institutions have been placed on the sanctions list.
The list includes Grand Service Express Director-General Aleksander Ganov and Mostottrest Director General Leonid Rizenkin, as well as Lenpromtransproyekt, Berkakit-Tommot-Yakuts Railway Construction Administration, Crimean Federal Railway Administration, and First Crimean insurance company.
With the sanctions, the assets of the persons and organizations named on the list are frozen.
Canadians living in Canada and living abroad are barred from doing business with these individuals and organizations.
Garneau said in a statement that Russia has ignored calls to stop violating Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international law, adding that they will not hesitate to impose new sanctions.
