Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- In Britain, the Royal Navy's exercise off Plymouth base on the country's southwest coast tested specially designed wearable devices that allow soldiers to fly over the sea.

During the exercise, "flying soldiers" took off from the Royal Navy patrol ship HMS Tamar, creating interesting images.

The jet suits in question were worn by pilots from Gravity Industries, the company that developed the technology.

The pilots took off from zodiac-style boats moving from the naval base and landed on their ships.

British officials said jet suits intended to be used in counterterrorism, anti-trafficking, and piracy operations around the world are not yet militarily ready.
