Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Amnesty International's report on elderly care homes in Belgium during the epidemic showed that these institutions were unprepared for crises.

Amnesty International's report said that in the Coronavirus outbreak, many elderly people died prematurely because basic human rights were ignored in elderly care homes in Belgium, the elderly were abandoned and they did not receive the necessary health care.

Between March October, the report, which was prepared by interviews with people, employees and managers in nursing homes, said that 61 percent of those who lost their lives during this period in the country were those who stayed in such institutions.
