Serhat TUNAR -TDO- It has been announced that two coronavirus vaccines, approved for emergency use in China, have begun to be administered to people. The first doses of vaccines were administered to 73,537 people at 220 vaccination centers in Beijing at the end of the week, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.
It said vaccination covered 18 and 59-year-olds in occupational groups at high risk of infection, such as food inspectors, cargo and transport sector staff.
Inactive vaccines developed by public pharmaceutical companies Sinovac and Sinopharm were used for vaccination. Both vaccines contain a weakened and inactivated version of the virus in their formula.
