Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- In Sumedang, a city on the island of Java in Indonesia, at least 11 people were killed and 18 injured in two landslides caused by extreme rainfall.
After a landslide on the evening of January 9th, search and rescue teams began work in the area.
In the second landslide during search and rescue efforts, officers and residents were trapped under piles of mud.
A 6-year-old boy and the head of the West Java region's Emergency Agency were among those who died at the landslide.
They are trying to identify the missing, officials said, and it is not known how many people were missing in the second landslide, as several people rushed to help in the first incident.
