News Center -TDO- Hosted by Patricia Beatriz Salas, Argentina's Ambassador to Turkey, a reception was held at the Çankaya Municipality Contemporary Arts Center for the opening of the three-day Argentine Film Festival.
Ambassador Patricia Beatriz Salas as well as ambassadors of Latin American countries and guests attended the event.
Ambassador Salas, in her speech here, said that the event is a part of the ongoing work of the Argentine Embassy and its goal to improve the presence of his country in Turkey by increasing mutual cooperation ties.
"Due to the quality of our films and the increasing development of the cinema industry, Argentine cinema attracts more and more attention and is in demand globally," said Ambassador Salas.
Ambassador Salas stated that Argentine films are rarely shown in Turkey, so such an event provides an excellent opportunity for Turkish friends to get to know their cinema better.
Ambassador Salas continued her speech as follows: "The films will be screened with Turkish subtitles and free of charge for moviegoers. We kindly ask you to recommend our films that will be screened at this center for the next three days to your friends."
