Serhat TUNAR -TDO- In New Zealand's general election, which was postponed due to coronavirus measures, the Labour Party, led by current Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, was guaranteed to win the election after thirty percent of the vote was counted.

New Zealand Prime Minister Ardern, who received about 51 percent of the votes counted, declared victory in the country's general election, promising to fight social inequality in his second term.

In a statement, Ardern said: "this is not an ordinary election and this has not happened at an ordinary time. Tonight we have a clear conclusion: it is clear that Labour will lead the government for the next three years."

If the distribution does not change in the remaining vote count, Labor will take power alone, removing 66 MPs in the 120-seat New Zealand Parliament.
