According to the Euronews, the activists said that the process turned into a political crisis and started to threaten the country's future and they demanded a second referendum on the issue.

The pro-EU activists gathered in London marched to the Whitehall and Trafalgar Square, where there were ministries and prime ministry buildings over the route that the police had blocked.

Protest demonstrators included Nicola Sturgeon, Prime Minister of Scotland, Michael Heseltine, Former Deputy Prime Minister Justine Greening, former Attorney General Dominic Grieve, Independent Group MP Anna Soubry, Liberal Democratic Party Leader Vince Cable, and Green Party Deputy Caroline Lucas.
