Serhat TUNAR -TDO- France-based airline Air France has announced that 7,500 people will be laid off within the company, despite 7 billion euros of state support. The announcement by Air France sparked reactions in the country.
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Air France, which has had to stop most of its flights for about 3 months, first laid off 6,500 people and announced that it will shrink, until 2022, this number will find 7,500.
The company's management announced on Friday that the bulk of the thousands of employment losses would be incurred by not replacing employees who have retired or resigned. It was also announced that those who voluntarily quit would not be replaced.
