Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Silsila Aliheyl, the daughter of Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Najibullah Aliheyhl, was abducted by unidentified men in Islamabad yesterday and the badly tortured little girl was released hours later, the Afghan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Silsila Aliheyhl was treated in hospital, the ministry said in a statement.
"The Afghan Foreign Ministry strongly condemns this heinous act and expresses deep concern for the safety of diplomats, their families, and the personnel of Afghan political and consular missions in Pakistan," the statement said.
'The Pakistani government urges the full security of the Afghan Embassy and consulates, as well as urgently necessary measures to ensure the immunity of diplomats and their families under international treaties and conventions,' the ministry said in a statement.
When Silsila Aliheyl was found, her hands and feet were bound and a note left on her read, "Communist, next time it will be your turn."
The note is believed to be a message to the Afghan Embassy.
