Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- A fire at a food and beverage factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh, has killed 52 people.
The workers were said to have died after being trapped inside because the main exit door of the factory was locked.
According to preliminary reports, the fire at the five-story factory killed three people, and when they entered the building after the fire was extinguished, they found dozens of bodies piled up on top of each other.
Most of the dead were workers who were trapped after failing to get out the door, which appeared to be locked from the inside.
The government has launched an investigation to clarify the cause of the fire, how many people are trapped and how many are missing.
