News Center -TDO- A reception was held at the Ankara Marriott Hotel on the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence, hosted by Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, Kyrgyzstan's Ambassador to Turkey.
Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Celal Adan, Chief Advisor to the President Yalçın Topçu, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliyev and many guests attended the reception.
Vice President Fuat Oktay sent a written congratulatory address.
Ambassador Omuraliyev stated that the relations between two countries are at the level of strategic partnership. "Kyrgyz and Turks are brotherly nations with a common history, religion, culture and language," he said.
Stating that diplomatic relations with Turkey were established on December 24, 1991, Omuraliyev said, "There are many successful examples of interaction in the field of cultural and humanitarian cooperation in 30 years. One of them is the activities of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, which has become a kind of educational bridge between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, and between all other regions.”
In his speech at the reception, Adan stated that Turkey was the first country to recognize Kyrgyzstan and open an embassy in Bishkek.
Adan emphasized that Turkey supports Kyrgyzstan's development and integration with the international community with all its means. "Today, it is a source of joy for us to see brotherly Kyrgyzstan as a respectable member of the international community that can stand on its own feet," he said.
