On March 17, about 85,000 prisoners, including political prisoners, were temporarily released, Iran's Judiciary Office announced today, announcing that more than 10,000 more prisoners will be pardoned.
An amnesty statement quoted by state television quoted Judiciary Spokesman Gulamhüseyin Ismaili as saying that an unknown number of political, activist, free speech activist prisoners have been released.
Health Ministry Spokesman Kiyanuş Cihanpur via Twitter in the context of the epidemic, "Every 10 minutes in Iran, people die from coronavirus. About 50 people get coronavirus in an hour," he said.
In this context, he warned citizens not to travel and visit during the Nawruz festival, which starts tomorrow.
In Iran, where there are about 20,000 cases of coronavirus in the Middle East, it was announced that the number of those who lost their lives reached 1284, the number of cases reached 18,407, and 5,979 people were discharged after the completion of their treatment.
