News Center -TDO-The 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Mongolia. A Turkish delegation consisting of academics and business people paid a visit to Mongolia's capital Ulaanbaatar from 4 to 9 November 2019 at the invitation of Mongolia's National Academy of Management.
Turkish and Mongolian officials who are experts in their subjects evaluated 50 years of relations at the event organized by the National Academy of management of Mongolia Ulaanbaatar and the presidency of Turkish and Kindred communities abroad.
As part of the event, a conference on “Turkey - Mongolia cooperation: from past to present and future” was held on 5 November 2019, hosted by the National Academy of Management.
Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bağcı from METU, Prof. Dr. Ali Merthan Dündar from Ankara University, Cengiz Gül and Alperen Ay from DEİK, Tayfun Kalkan from Yunus Emre Institute, Uğur Köknar from TÜRSAD, National Academy of Administration’s Director Zulpkhar Sarkad, National Academy of Administration’s vice director Prof. Dr. Shairli Baksukh, Ahmet Yazal as the Ambassador of Turkey, Avursaikhan Tumurbaatar as the Republic of Mongolia Khural ( Parliament) member and Mongolia- Turkey Friendship Group president, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Byambayar Yadamsuren from National Academy of Administration and Colonel Munkh- Ochir Dorjjugder from National Security Intelligence Academy attended the conference.
In the first session of the conference, which was moderated by the vice director of National Academy of Administration Shairli Batsukh, the director of National Academy of Administration Zulphkar Sarkad, Republic of Mongolia Great Khural ( Parliament) member and Mongolia- Turkey Friendship Group president Ayursaikhan Tumurbaatar and the Ambassador of Turkey Ahmet Yazal evaluated the bilateral relation of Turkey and Mongolia.
Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bağcı was the moderator in the second session of the conference. The Ambassador of Turkey Ahmet Yazar gave a presentation on ‘’ Mongolia- Turkey Collaboration’’. Prof. Dr. Ali Merthan Dündar from Ankara University made a presentation of ‘’ We Are Strong Together: The 50th Anniversary of the Relationship of Mongolia- Turkey’’. Cengiz Gül from DEİK talked about ‘’ Bilateral Trade Relations’’ and Tayfun Kalkan from Yunus Emre Institute explained ‘’ Turcology Studies’’.
In the third session of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Byambayar Yadamsuren from National Academy of Administration was the moderator. Colonel Munkh- Ochir Dorjjugder from National Security Intelligence gave a presentation on ‘’ Security and Approach Towards Making Mongolia’s Defence Policy: Current Statusand Potentials’’. Prof. D.r Hüseyin Bağcı from METU gave a speech named ‘’ Turkey’s Future New Asia Policies and Mongolia: Obstacles, Expectations and Opportunities’’. Lastly, Uğur Köknar from TURSAD shared his opinions and experience sabot ‘’ Tourism Policy: Turkey Experience, Job Opportunities’’.
Zulpkhar Sarkad, Rector of the National Academy of Management, delivered the closing speech of the conference.
