News Center -TDO- Hosted by Liu Shaobin, China's Ambassador to Turkey, The opening of the photography exhibition titled "Together to a Common Future", where the 2022 Winter Olympics and 2022 Paralympics were introduced, was held at the Music Teachers' School.
Ambassador Liu Shaobin, President of the Turkish National Olympic Committee Uğur Erdener, President of Turkey-China Friendship Foundation Hasan Capan, Chairman of the National Strategy Center Industry and Trade Commission Bülend Kırmacı and guests attended the exhibition.
The opening started with the song performed by the music choir of the Turkey - China Friendship Foundation.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Shaobin stated that they will bring environmentalism to the fore in these Olympics and said, "All the energies to be used in the Olympics will be 100% renewable energy."
Noting that Kovid-19 has made many international Olympics difficult, Ambassador Shaobin said, “We attach great importance to Covid-19 measures. So far, 25 competition venues have been completed. "Beijing is fully prepared for the 2022 Winter Olympics," he said.
The United States has announced that it will implement a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Olympics due to human rights violations. Following this statement, Britain also decided to boycott diplomatically. Making a statement on this subject, Ambassador Liu Shaobin said, “The Winter Olympics is actually a stage for all world athletes to come together and show their sports spirit. That is why we firmly oppose the politicization of the Winter Olympics.”
Beijing will be the first city to host both the Summer Olympic Games and the Winter Olympic Games. The Olympics will be held from 4-20 February 2022.
