In early April the world was shaken by the “Panama Papers” offshore scandal. Surprisingly, the name of the Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko was foundin the disclosures. He set up an offshore firm for his chocolate company “Roshen”.It is still not legally proved whether his move broke Ukrainian law, Poroshenko himself denies any wrongdoing, but the Panama revelations damaged Poroshenko’s image, and reduce voters’ trust in his government.
