Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- In the UK, clinical trials have been launched to measure the effectiveness of 2 different vaccines developed on the same person as part of the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine studies.
About 800 volunteers over the age of 50 who have not yet been vaccinated against Covid-19 are planned to participate in the trials for Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, which will use with the Astrazeneca vaccine.
Some of the volunteers to be divided into 2 groups will be given the same vaccine in both doses, while the other group is planned to be given two different vaccines 28 days or 12 weeks in between.
A voluntary search has begun for £7m of government-funded research to be conducted by Oxford University.
Nadhim Zahawi MP, Minister for COVID Vaccine Deployment said that clinical trials will not change the current vaccination campaign and the safety of the effects of different vaccines on one person will not be widely used without confirming the safety of scientific data and being approved by the relevant channels.
