Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Following the resignation of British Prime Minister Theresa May in the past weeks, Boris Johnson, the favorite of the leadership race, was also selected first by the Conservative Party MPs in the 5th round.

The last round of the race for the prime minister entered by former Foreign Minister Boris Johnson and Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt continues.

Members of the Conservative Party voted for the fifth round of the leadership race. Boris Johnson won 160 votes in the fourth round. Boris Johnson was followed by Secretary of State Jeremy Hunt with 77 votes, while Environment Minister Michael Gove received 75 votes and could not go to the next round.

The winner will be Prime Minister in the last round, both candidates are known to be pro-Brexit.

In previous rounds of leadership, Commons Leader AdreaLeadsom, former Labor Minister Esther McVey and Mark Harper, former party's Group Vice President, former Brexit Minister Dominic Raab, International Development Minister Rory Stewart, and Interior Minister Sajid Javid were eliminated.
