U.S. WON'T WITHDRAW ITS TROOPS FROM IRAQ

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdulmehdi demanded that United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo send a delegation to that country to organize the departure of American troops from Iraq.

The United States, on the other hand, responded negatively to the Iraqi government's request for a withdrawal of military forces. The Iraqi Prime Minister's press office reported that Prime Minister Adil Abdulmehdi and United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had made a telephone call regarding the matter.

Abdulmehdi asked Pompeo to create a mechanism for the withdrawal of troops by sending a delegation to Iraq, in accordance with the resolution of the Iraqi parliament for the removal of United States troops from Iraq.

Abdulmehdi also stated that American troops and drones entered Iraqi airspace without Iraq's permission, saying it was against the agreements between the two countries.
