Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Fener Greek Patriarch Bartholomeos warned that if Hagia Sophia's current status as a museum is changed and turned into a mosque, it could open the gap between the Eastern and Western worlds.
1400 year history of Hagia Sophia, Christians and Muslims used to worship by Patriarch Bartholomew, who used the following expressions: "A museum, the Hagia Sophia, the meeting of peoples and cultures, dialogue and live in peace, solidarity and mutual understanding between Christianity and Islam with a place can function as a symbol."
Bartholomeos also warned that the possibility of Hagia Sophia turning into a mosque could cause millions of Christians around the world to turn their backs on Islam.and continues his speech:
