Nuran YILDIRIM – TDO – Donald Trump has fired the acting US attorney general Sally Yates after she refuses to implement the presidential degree banning the entry of Muslim majority country nationals into the country.
In a statement made by the White House, said that Obama appointee Yates betrayed the state, saying he would not implement the decree.
“It is time to get serious about protecting our country. Calling for tougher vetting for individuals travelling from seven dangerous places is not extreme. It is reasonable and necessary to protect our country.”
Moreover, it was also stated that Yates was appointed by Obama and was inadequate about illegal immigration.
After Trump fired Yates, he announced that he had appointed US attorney for the eastern district of Virginia Dana Boente as acting attorney general.
Boente confirmed the role, and said that she is honored to serve President Trump in this role.
